Transaero launches flights to Yakutsk; Miami to follow in fall

This summer Transaero launched the first flights in its history to Yakutsk, in Western Siberia, from its hub at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport. Initially flights will be operated twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. Flights between Moscow and Yakutsk will be operated by wide body long haul aircraft Boeing B767 with a capacity of 230 passengers in a three-class configuration. Business class, premium economy with increased seat pitch and better on board menu, tourist economy classes are all available for travelers on this route.

 

On October 30 2010, Transaero is scheduled to launch flights to Miami, a Unique Destination for the Moscow Aviation Hub. The  weekly direct flight to Miami (USA) will be operated by comfortable Boeing B777. Flights to Miami will open a unique destination for Moscow Aviation Hub while Transaero will be the only airline operating non-stop flights between Moscow and Miami.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport has been a base airport for Transaero since 2001 and accounts for 25%  of total passenger volume of the airport. Domodedovo is the largest airport of Russia. Its market share in total passenger traffic for all  Moscow airports is 46%. At the moment 75 partner airlines (47 foreign including 12 representing the CIS States and 28 Russian) connect over 231 destinations and operate flights all over the world. The unique route network covered by Domodedovo partner airlines provides for 92 exclusive destinations. In 2009 18.7 million passengers used Domodedovo services.
