Transaero launches flights to Yakutsk; Miami to follow in fall

This summer Transaero launched the first flights in its history to Yakutsk, in Western Siberia, from its hub at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport. Initially flights will be operated twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. Flights between Moscow and Yakutsk will be operated by wide body long haul aircraft Boeing B767 with a capacity of 230 passengers in a three-class configuration. Business class, premium economy with increased seat pitch and better on board menu, tourist economy classes are all available for travelers on this route.

Sukhoi scores sales success as aviation rebounds from crisis

Aviation has rebounded from the economic crisis and the proof is in the US$ 47bn of orders signed at last week's biannual Farnborough International Airshow. While the 2008 Farnborough air show held before the start of the global economic recession saw a total of $89 billion worth of deals signed, aviation and aerospace executives were pleased with the resounding rebound.
