airBaltic, the low-cost Latvian flag carrier, elected a new council during a shareholder’s meet on 4th August, the Transport Ministry informed.
Anrijs Matiss, the Secretary at the ministry of Transport commended the role of Baltijas aviacijas sistemas (BAS), the airline’s minority shareholder, for its constructive role in selecting representatives for the council.
The new council members are; state representatives Santa Glazniece, Gints Kirsteins and Raitis Tukans, and BAS representatives Ilmars Razumovskis and Jean-Charles Korsak.
Air Baltic has a 34-strong fleet ranging from two Boeing 757-200 to 10 Fokker-50 turbojet aircraft.
