In a statement released this week, Russian flag carrier Aeroflot announced robust growth in passenger traffic in July. The airlines carried 1.43 million fliers in July, a jump of 21.2% over the same period last year.

The airline said that it has carried more than a million passengers every month since April this year. The higher traffic volume is attributed to better route network rationalisation, superior quality in-flight service and efficient utilisation of its fleet of aircrafts.

The airliner hopes to carry 14.3 million passengers in 2011, a significant jump over 11.29 million it carried last year.
