Sheremetyevo passengers increase 32% in seven months

Sheremetyevo Airport saw a significant increase in passenger numbers and a growth of key performance indicators in the first half of 2010 the Board of Directors was told at its regular meeting last week.

For the first 7 months of the airport served 10,621,000 passengers, which is 32.8% more compared to the same period in 2009. The most important factor has been the integration of Terminals D, E and F into the South airport complex, making it the largest terminal in Russia and Eastern Europe and, consequently, increasing the attractiveness and popularity of the Airport for passengers and new carriers.

The Airport anticipates that by the end of 2010 Sheremetyevo Airport will serve more than 17.5 million passengers; cargo traffic will reach 215 thousand tons, and the number of takeoff and landing operations will exceed 178,000.
