JSC VTB Bank has granted a RUB 3.3 billion to JSC Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. Part of the funds will be channeled into the ongoing operations. JSC UAZ is a part of SOLLERS Group whose facilities produce Russian UAZ SUVs and Korean SsangYong SUVs, as well as petrol and diesel ZMZ engines.

A tank repair-shop in Primnorye's Ussurisk city is one of the sites being inspected by the Renault-Nissan-AvtoVAZ motor alliance as they search for a suitable factory in which to launch a vehicle-assembly unit in Russia's Far East.

Daimler has selected GAZ as a partner in Russia and plans to invest more than €100 million in production of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter in Nizhny Novgorod. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin attended the official presentation of the project.

Rostechnology, the biggest shareholder of top Russian truck maker KamAZ is in talks with its Belarusian rival MAZ to increase its market share and a possible majority stake acquisition. Talking about the negotiations, KamAZ General Director, Sergei Kogogin said “We are always looking to acquire 100% of the company or at least a controlling stake”.
