Mark Stadler will, subject to Regulatory approvals, be appointed Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Russia. Mark has over 28 years of experience in the financial services industry across a wide range of markets.
Within HSBC Mark has worked within Global Private Banking and Global Banking and Markets in Dubai, London and Hong Kong. He joined HSBC in October 2004 as Regional Head of Financial Institutions and from 2006 was the Global Co-Head of Financial Institutions, transferring to London in March 2007. In early 2011 he joined the Private Bank as Market Head for the Middle East based in Dubai and returned to London in February this year as Interim Head of the Private Bank for the UK and Channel Islands.
Before joining the HSBC Group, Mark worked from 1994 to 2004 in Investment Banking and Securities for ABN AMRO in London, Dublin and Hong Kong. Prior to that he was part of securitisation team at Merrill Lynch and Debt Capital Markets division at Salomon Brothers. Mark began his career with the Bank of America.
Mark is married and has three children. He will be based in the Moscow office and report to John Casey, Deputy Chief Executive, Continental Europe.
