The “Other Russia” group hung a banner listing the allegations against the unidentified police official across the street from his posh Moscow apartment and placed leaflets in the mailboxes of his neighbors, explaining his alleged role in Magnitsky’s death.

Magnitsky, a  37-year-old lawyer, working on Hermitage Capital account with Firestone Duncan firm of soliciters,  had accused police and Interior Ministry officials of defrauding Hermitage, once the largest foreign investor in Russia. He died in November in a notorious Moscow prison. Human rights officials say he was tortured and denied adequate medical care.

The protestors also glued a picture of Magnitsky, who left behind a wife and two children, to the police official’s front door, The Telegraph reports.
