The new ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Mr. Hamid Awaludin and Mrs. Andi Marcelya Hamid Awaludin, hosted a lavish reception in the Renaissance Hotel Moscow in August on the occasion of 63rd Anniversary of the country’s independence. The event was attended by senior diplomats with the ambassadors of ASEAN and Middle East countries particularly keen to meet Ambassador Awaludin, the former Indonesian Minister of Law and Human Rights who, negotiated the peace agreement with the Aceh rebel movement and signed the landmark document ending 30 years of violence in Helsinki in August 2005.

The Renaissance chefs’ culinary efforts were augmented by traditional Indonesian cuisine prepared by chefs from the Indonesian embassy.
