Medvedev talks with Cameron

UK Prime Minuster talks with Russia's Dmitry Medvedev in Buckingham Palace

Russian prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev discussed various aspects of Russian-British economic cooperation and investment projects at the pre-opening ceremony reception given by Queen Elizabeth II. They also touched on topics related to the Olympics. Mr Cameron spoke about the preparations for the London Olympics and the opportunities for using this experience for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Game.

In addition, Mr Medvedev and Mr Cameron discussed the situation in Syria. An interview Mr. Medvedev gave the Times will be published on Monday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is due to travel to Russia on August 2nd and will also hold talks with Mr. Cameron.
