The President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, will lead an Enterprise Ireland trade mission to Russia early September. Details of the visit are typically under wraps for security reasons but the large business delegation accompanying the president includes Mr Billy Kelleher, T.D. Minister for Trade & Commerce and Mr Frank Ryan, CEO, Enterprise Ireland.

The Embassy of Ireland & Enterprise Ireland, in association with The Irish Business Club are hosting a Business & Networking Breakfast on *th September with presentations by Mr. Kelleher, Mr. Ryan and Mr. Chris Weafer, Head Strategist, Uralsib Bank

In early Summer 2009 Mr. Kelleher led the 2009 Enterprise Ireland trade mission to Moscow and St Petersburg.

For that event BSR-Russia produced a supplement on Russian-Irish Trade and Investment which was distributed by the Embassy.

Irish entrepreneurs are prominent in Russian business life, Irish construction companies and property developers have withstood the economic crisis and continue to flourish while Guinness and Jamesons are now joined on retail shelves by Kerrygold butter and Irish cheeses.
