The Irish taste for their own whiskey appears to be changing. The Dublin distilled Jameson, while still present at Irish Embassy functions has not been served at functions of the Irish Club this year. They have switched their allegiance to the County Antrim distilled Bushmills serving it not only at the prestigious Emerald Ball in March but more recently at the VIP surprise farewell party for the Irish Ambassador Justin Harman and his wife Carmen Casey in the Moscow Marriott Avrora Hotel.

Is there a battle going on between Jameson's French owner, Pernod Ricard and Diageo, the owner of Bushmills, Guinness and Baileys?
