Russia is a nation of 140 million people and boasts the world's eight-largest economy, according to the CIA World Factbook.
Terms of the deal were not revealed in Wednesday morning's announcement.
Nidan has production facilities in Moscow and Novosibirsk, which produce and distribute juice products under the brands Moya Semya, Da! and Caprice. Coca-Cola said the buyout will help the company cut costs and sell more beverages.
"We have established our reputation by offering a wide array of high-quality beverages to the Russian market," said Zoran Vucinic, President of Coca-Cola in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. "This partnership will allow us to expand our offerings even further."
