Russia's Deputy Defence Minister has told the BBC that there is still a lack of trust between Russia and the rest of Europe.
Anatoly Antonov said he would like to see more co-operation on Defence matters like terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.
But he said issues like the proposed US missile defence shield keep getting in the way.
He was talking to the BBC's Moscow Correspondent Daniel Sandford ahead of a conference this week on European Security.

Mr Putin and Mr Cameron discussed various aspects of bilateral relations and the international agenda, including the situation in Syria. The talks continued over a working breakfast, following which the two leaders made press statements.

A large crowd of 300 people gathered at the Soviet War Memorial in Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park on Thursday morning 9th May for the annual Victory Day act of remembrance recreating an atmosphere of Victory Day in Russia in London.
