Increased economic cooperation, counter-terrorism and drug trafficking were the issues predominating the four-party summit of Russia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Tajikistan which concluded yesterday in Sochi. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev hosted President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

A four-party meeting will take place on August 18, 2010, between President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, according to a news item posted on the kremlin website, http:/www.kremlin.ru.

Tajik charter operator launches first scheduled service

East Air, until now  a Tajik charter operator flying to UAE, Afganistan, South-East Asia and the CIS states has launched a twice weekly scheduled service from Kulyab,in the South-East of the country to Moscow's Domodedovo.
