London Olympic tickets now on sale in Russia

Tickets for the Olympic Summer Games of 2012 in the city of London have gone on sale in Russia. General rules of the tickets distribution were announced today by the official ticket sub-distributor, KASSIR.RU. In accordance with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the London 2012 organizers, the handling fees are fixed for every country around the world and will not exceed 20% of the ticket price (maximum 40 pounds sterling; the fees are included in the ticket price).

 

The cheapest ticket costs 1,200 rubles – you can attend Archery Men’s Team 1/8 session, for example. The average ticket price is 4,400 rubles. Tickets for popular events such as the Opening and Closing Ceremonies are priced up to 100,350 rubles (£2012) as part of pricing policy chosen by the British organisers.

 

Tickets for the London 2012 Games can be ordered through the call center or specialized website developed by the official London 2012 ticketing agent in Russian, KASSIR.RU http://www.kassir-london2012.ru. Here you are offered to fill in on-line request form stating the desired sessions and tickets number. Number of tickets allocated per person is limited and depends on the type of event and its popularity. For example, you can buy only two tickets per person for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

 

Personified receipts are issued confirming the purchase and must be exchanged for tickets in London between July 15 and August 12, 2012; only the receipt holder themselves can receive tickets having shown their passport on collection. These measures are meant to prevent ticket touting or passing tickets to a third parties.
