The Russian embassy has paid tribute to the Russia Visa application Centre in London on its third anniversary of operations. A statement on the Embassy web site reads “It is three years today (23 January) since the establishment of the Russian Visa Application Centre in London. We are proud to know that the London centre was the first Russian visa application centre in the world and it has proved its high efficiency throughout these years. Within three years, it has processed some 300,000 applications for Russian visas.

New quality and service standards, introduced by the operator of the Visa Application – the VFS Company and its strict observance of deadlines for visa issuance give reasons to hope that three years ago we had made the right decision. The Russian Embassy to the UK extends its warmest greetings to the Visa Application Centre and all its clients on this modest but at the same time important date.

Ambassador Alexander Yakovenko tweeted, “ By the way, VFS runs British Visa application centre in Moscow as well. But Russian visas are issued much faster.”
